Apply to give a talk

GW OSCON 2025

Apply to give a talk at the first inaugural GW OSCON on March 24-25, 2025 at the GW Student Center

The deadline for submitting talk proposals is End of Day (EST) Feb 6th, 2025.

The goal of this conference is to celebrate, educate, connect, and grow the GW open source community.

All submissions should relate to open source software, open data, open access, or open science.  We look forward to highlighting both GW open source accomplishments and broader open source community opportunities and expertise to benefit students, faculty, and staff.

Please provide a biography that includes your employer (if any) and ongoing projects.  Maximum 100 words.
Submission Type
Provide an abstract that summarizes your proposal. Provide as much information as possible about what the content will include. Do not be vague. This is the abstract that will be posted on the website schedule, so please ensure that it is in complete sentences (and not just bullet points) and that it is written in the third person (use your name instead of I). A well written abstract will increase the possibility of the proposal being accepted. Maximum 250 words.

Describe who would benefit most from your talk (e.g., beginners, advanced developers, community organizers).  Maximum 100 words.

Include any links, papers, or project repositories related to your talk.

The GW OSPO is committed to a diverse and inclusive community.  The following questions (which are optional) are asked in an effort to track our progress in increasing diversity at events, and will remain confidential.

What gender do you identify with?
What racial/ethnic background(s) do you identify with?
