The GW OSPO is excited to welcome our 2025 student ambassadors to our team!
Thanks to our generous follow on grant funded by the Sloan Foundation, the George Washington University Open Source Program Office (OSPO) is expanding to include four student ambassadors. Our student ambassadors will help us connect with the broader GW community, promote the value of open source, and support projects that make technology more accessible and innovative.
We are happy to have found students eager to strengthen and grow the GW open source community. We’re excited for the experience and skills Mia, Nouha, Jood, and Sunil are bringing to the table and can’t wait to see how they continue to inspire collaboration across campus and beyond.

The GW OSPO recognizes the need to reach out to community partners and gain student awareness, and is influenced by the work fellow OSPOs have achieved with student champions of open source. We are particularly inspired by the University of Vermont’s Open Research Community Accelerator (ORCA) program and look forward to creating a community of open source enthusiasts.
